Pastor Ki Sung Kim is the senior pastor of the Good News Gwangju Church and has established theological schools in 700 correctional facilities in 40 countries worldwide as the chairman of the Police and Corrections Forum (PCF). He has been recognized for his contributions to the rehabilitation of inmates and was awarded an honorary doctorate in education and a social service journalism award. He is the author of the essay “Diamond in the Rough,” where he detailed how a fundamental change in one’s heart is necessary for inmates not to return to prison after discharge. The essay was adapted into a movie in 2019 and has touched the hearts of many inmates and correctional officers, inspiring them to change their lives.
